About Me
Waggy Walkies came about in 2020 when I decided to follow my dream of combining my work with my passion for animals and love of walking in the woods and exploring the local countryside. Pets have always been a very important part of my life and I grew up with dogs, rabbits and tortoises and now enjoy sharing my home with two gorgeous furry family members - a laid back elderly Golden Retriever and a lively young Golden Retriever, as well as my ten beautiful bunnies and two guinea pigs.
In my last job supporting young people at an Animal-Assisted Therapy and Learning Farm, I loved working with vulnerable teenagers and many different farm animals, including horses, ponies, donkeys, pigs, goats, llamas, emus, chickens, rheas, cows and sheep. I also looked after hamsters, degus, snakes, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, rabbits and cockatiels. This experience made me realise how much I wanted my job to focus on caring for all kinds of creatures and so Waggy Walkies was born!
