Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew surrounded by dogs, rabbits and tortoises, and today my home is a happy, bustling mini-farm with two Golden Retrievers, ten beautiful bunnies and a gorgeous guinea pig.
Before launching Waggy Walkies, I worked at an animal-assisted therapy and learning farm, supporting and teaching young people while seeing the therapeutic benefits they gained from time with the animals. I also cared for a wide range of animals and developed a deep understanding of animal behaviour, individual needs and the powerful bond between humans and animals. This experience was a turning point for me and confirmed that I wanted to dedicate my working life to caring for animals.
Prior to that, I worked as a BSL Communication Support Worker with Deaf college students, which strengthened my patience, empathy and ability to communicate clearly and calmly. Before that, I was an Ofsted Registered Childminder. Earlier in my career I worked as a Journalist, Recruitment Consultant and Director's PA. Each of these roles helped shape the skills I bring to my business today - professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, excellent communication and a genuine care for people and animals and their individual needs.
I have certificates in Canine Behaviour Training; Canine First Aid; Canine Communication; Understanding Canine Anxiety, and Animal Assisted Therapy, as well as a Dog Walking Diploma. I also hold a BA Honours degree in Philosophy and European Literature.
With over six years experience of professionally walking and caring for dogs of many different breeds, personalities and quirks, I understand how important it is to provide each dog with thoughtful, individual care. I place great value on creating safe, enriching and enjoyable walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills countryside, where dogs can explore woodland trails and open fields while having fun in a calm, caring environment.
In December 2020, I followed my dream of combining my love of animals with my love of nature, and Waggy Walkies was born.

Careful Matching for Compatible Companions
I know that your dog isn't just a pet - they are a cherished family member. I have extensive knowledge of canine behaviour and anxiety to help me fully understand each dog's unique personality. Some are social butterflies, while others need a little extra time and patience to build up their confidence.
Complimentary Initial Meet & Greet:
I always start with a free no obligation visit to your home. This gives me a chance to meet your dog, earn their trust and learn all about their likes and dislikes, quirks and unique character.
Tailored Friendships:
I use the meet-and-greet to carefully place your dog into a regular group of walking buddies with a similar energy level and vibe.
Safe, Consistent Groups:
By walking with the same friendly canine companions in the Surrey Hills every week, your dog will build real, lasting friendships and feel completely safe, secure and relaxed.
When your pup is with Waggy Walkies, they're not just being walked - they are being loved, understood, and treated like one of my own!
